Why a new newsletter?
We believe there is a strong need for Irish investors, both individuals and finance professionals, to access expert financial writing to build on their investment and financial planning knowledge.
Many mainstream publications have either closed or reduced staff resources, often retrenching their longest-serving journalists, not because of a lack of need for their experience, but to reduce costs. We want to connect investors with ideas.
We aim to inform investors about markets, regulations, structures and useful ideas. It will be written by people with expertise in investment management, pensions, banking, academia and financial advice.
We want a community of investors which discusses ideas from an informed and impartial point of view, without pushing products or promoting services. This community will includes a wide cross section of investors including individuals and professional investors – Financial Advisers/brokers, Investment Managers and pension trustees.

I have always had a passion for education, for myself, investors and professionals alike. Education can change an industry from a bunch of product sellers to a profession. Education helps investor make informed decisions and can save them from making the terrible decisions that were painfully displayed in 2008. While this project will not transform the industry I am a strong believer in the Tanzanian phrase that my wife has placed on our wall at home “little by little a little becomes alot”
